Option 2: Work as a registered student in Singapore

If you are not eligible for the work holiday program or want to reside in Singapore for more than six months, you can choose to register as a full-time student at an accredited educational institute in Singapore. If you are not planning to study full-time, there is one option: find a full-time job in Singapore. Singaporean companies can apply for permission to employ foreigners. The permits are subject to approval by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), who will review your credentials. The most important condition is the salary that you will earn. At the time of writing this report, the minimum wage for S-Pass (the lowest level) was $ 1,800 per month.

As in any country, you have certain flaws as a foreigner. If the company has many job applicants, all except Singapore citizens or permanent residents, then why do you think they will hire you? They will only do this if you are better qualified than local applicants. Hence, following this path is relatively more comfortable if you already have a few years of professional experience, excellent qualifications and a clear profile.
